This is all possible with a canal boating holiday. There are plenty of opportunities to soak up the beautiful untouched British scenery and wildlife that the canals and rivers run through. NARROWBOAT HIRE ON UK CANALS

This is all possible with a canal boating holiday. There are plenty of opportunities to soak up the beautiful untouched British scenery and wildlife that the canals and rivers run through. Boating holidays are suitable for all sorts of occasions, whether a family trip, work/stag/hen do, or a romantic escape for two; the canals will always have something unique to offer. If you are a pet owner you can even bring them along, so no kennel fees!
Before being left to explore the waterways in your boat of choice, each boat yard provides free of charge tuition until you feel comfortable driving along on your own, so if you are a novice there is no need to fret! (Although it's a lot harder than you may think to crash when travelling at a maximum of 4mph!)
WHAT'S NEW?
New to the waters in 2010: 54ft 'Silver Darlings,' based on the North Oxford Canal. She has a charm that is slightly reminiscent of the childhood favourite Rosie and Jim's Ragdoll, with a modernized interior to suit the 21st century traveller.
Her interior is kitted out with:
* Light wood furnishings and quality upholstery
* Oil fired low level heating throughout
* Double glazing on the windows
On board she also benefits from:
* Flat screen TV and DVD player
* CD and radio
* Galley - full size cooker, refrigerator, small freezer, microwave, wine cooler and toaster
* Shower room - spacious shower cubicle with body-jet shower.
The Warwickshire Canals offer plenty to see and do, such as fishing days off the boat and spotting otters, visiting Cadbury World or, for a calorie free adventure, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. With so much to explore it is easy to spend a whole week or more cruising the Heart of England.
NORFOLK BROADS CRUISER HIRE
If you are in search of a boating holiday with a twist then a short break on the Norfolk Broads makes for an exciting getaway! The Broads are defined as 'Britain's Magical Waterland', because of the big skies and sparkling landscapes. There are over 200km of lock free rivers, lakes and marshes to explore. With plenty of sights to take in such as restored windmills, historic villages and whispering reeds containing a variety of distinctive wildlife; there is plenty to experience on the Broads.
WHATS NEW?
Boating holidays are becoming ever more focused on being luxurious, with many new boats being built to encompass all your home comforts whilst on the waterways. New for 2011 is a new class of cruiser, 'Supreme Light' (located at Potter Heigham). These spacious cruisers are equipped with both bow and stern thrusters to aid the movement of the boat - great for those who are less experienced at mooring up!
The facilities onboard are more like that of a luxury hotel, including a large en-suite rear cabin and satellite tracking dome to receive Freeview channels anywhere on the Broads, displayed on a large LCD TV.
In addition, 'Alpha Tornado' is also a brand new and exceptional cruiser launched in 2011, based at Brundall on the Norfolk Broads. The first of its kind, she is a truly unique cruiser, featuring an elevated stateroom with sliding canopy and is fitted with both bow and stern thrusters. There are colour TV's and DVD players available in the saloon and both bedrooms. The boat is carpeted and is fitted throughout with quality upholstery, which gives the cruiser that deluxe feel.
